On return from my holiday to the Isle of Wight, i am looking to book a watsons scooberoo weekend away next year.
Plan.....
A 3 night 4 day camping/caravaning event on the Isle of Wight,
Over the first May bank holiday in 2012, either :-
Friday 4th - Monday 7th.
Saturday 5th - Tuesday 8th.
Average cost will be as set out below.
Ferry from southampton to East cowes via Red Funnel- £50.00 return (car and 5 passengers incl driver)
Ive checked out two reasonable camping sites.
the first is Chine Farm on the south side of the island
Pitch - £6.00, per tent per night.
Adult - £2.00 per person per night.
Children - £1.00 per person per night.
Electric - £3.00 per night.
Second is at Whitecliff bay.
3 night special for up to 6 people incl Ferry - £99.00
Or the holiday park i stayed on Fairway Holiday at Sandown
6 berth Caravan all incl £22.00 per night ( price per holiday caravan )
so 3 nights incl ferry will be £116.00, ( if holiday park book ferry 5% discount)
*** all Prices are based on this years tariff prices ***
All parks and attractions will be open and are reasonably priced (Including a castle).
An Itinery for the weekend will be drawn up once numbers are established
So thats the plan, Let me know your thoughts, I am looking to book early January so what ever booking we go for deposits will be required mid Jan, A 3 night 4 day break for around £18.00 per person and bad company...who could turn that down..
